Mewesicology
Monday 9th @ 7:00pm
It is back! After this event was unfortunately canceled last month due to a last minute engagement by Jason Mewes (we assume his world renowned talents were required elsewhere) we were very sad. But now it is nothing to worry about because the events is once again on. So be sure to come out and meet Jason Mewes–the Jay portion of Jay and Silent Bob! There will be a screening of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back followed by a discussion with the man himself. It is sure to be a hilarious time, so be certain not to miss it. Co-presentation of the AMS and FilmSoc.
Tickets at $5 for everyone and are available at The Outpost in the SUB or on TicketWeb.
Wednesday 11th – Thursday 12th, Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th

Paper Heart @ 7:00pm
Charlyne Yi doesn’t believe in love, so she embarks across America with a documentary crew to find out what other people think of the subject. At one of her stops she meets Michael Cera, the two of whom become infatuated with eachother. As they begin to fall in love, the lines between the documantary and a fictional narritive blur and it becomes hard to tell what is truth and what is fiction.

The Big Lebowski Beverage Garden
Friday 13th @ 7:00pm
The Big Lebowski Beverage Garden is the quintessential FilmSoc event. We have been screening this film as a Beverage Garden since the year it came out*. Come see the move that defined a generation–of drunk bowlers at least–with it’s humour. Written and Directed by the Coen brothers, this film is fantastic to consume beverages during. Drinks will include the traditional fare as well as a special themed drink related to the film.
The event is 19+ only and requires 2 forms of ID. Tickets at $3 for members and $6 for non-members. Members cannot extend their discount to a guest. Film starts at 8:00 pm.
* – This fact is completely unverified because the author is really lazy. Plus it sounds more traditional this way. My point is we have been holding this event for awhile.
