Brand New Year #

Welcome to 2010 y’ll. We are starting the year off with a whole bunch of awesome films for your enjoyment. But first, let me tell you about our big event for the month.

January Events #

Our first event of the year—and only event we have scheduled for January—is a screening of The Dark Side of Oz followed by The Wall. If you don’t already know, The Dark Side of Oz is a screening of the first portion of The Wizard of Oz with the normal soundtrack replaced by Pink Floyd’s album The Dark Side of the Moon. The album syncs up surprisingly well with the film. This is followed by Pink Floyd’s The Wall, based off their album by the same name. So come to the theatre on January 29th for a very Floydian night.

Mewesicology Canceled! #

Bad news, it looks like Jason Mewes won't be able to make it out to UBC next week after all, so we won't be holding the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back screening next week like we planned. We are hoping to reschedule the event, so check back in November for a new time.
