Posted by prez on

Interstellar, me and earl and the dying girl, it follows and mad max. They were all excellent and if you show they ill watch them.

Would be great if you can mix classics with newish films. Like Godfather, Inside out, ET, Jurassic Park, etc. Like that. :)

Some blockbuster too, just to fit more people's taste. :)
I'm sure there's a reason for people to love blockbusters too.

Please go back to playing second-run mainstream movies. Some of your audience used to be non-students/regular folks in the community just looking to see somewhat recent movies on the big screen without going downtown/to suburban megaplexes.

Keep showing cult favorites! Mainstream movies of today are sorely lacking in anything but obvious profit motive.

1.Zabriskie Point
3.David Lynch's entire body of work
4.The Conversation
5.John Waters

Cult movies are great, but the second run movies were sweet too.

Some I'd go see:
Leaving Las vegas
American Beauty
Basically anything by Gaspar Noe or Jim Jarmusch

I'd love to see more film noir movies foreign and otherwise from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, technicolor classic films from the 50s and 60s would be great too!

For example:

Vauge Stars of Ursa...
The Big Sleep
Blonde Venus
Suddenly, Last Summer

Would love to see some old epics get the big screen treatment they deserve. Like Apocalypse Now or 2001: A Space Odyssey

Donnie Darko, Amelie, and Beasts of the Southern Wild would be awesome. Also Melancholia because it's so pretty and weird :) Oh, also Mulan because that was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

Please play new movies. Have seen so many of these ones. If u live on campus, it's too far to go to good movie theatres like Tinseltown. Even if they are 6 months old, would be great...

How about a short film fest?

Sometimes more is better!

One could easily fit a ton of good short films in the span of even 2hrs!
